    yeah you can check weather.com, NOAA, or weatherunderground.com. but a general rule of thumb is 10mph and up is usally pretty choppy for boating, windsurfing not so much except for when it's 20+ mph, and usually your gonna wanna look several days ahead for trends and plan your days that way.

    try sailflow.com or subscribe to the iwindsurf.com forecastsI've never seen a site with very good (free) predictions, but sailflow is great because you can see the trends of the wind so you know what the conditions were you were sailing in, and so that you can predict for yourself how good it will be based on patterns
