Hunting animals ,especially with a bow is extreme cruelty in my opinion. If you were starving to death and needed food it would be one thing. Killing any living creature for the sport of is , to me, senseless. Sorry, but that's my opinion.

I would wear light wooland camo, with a sweatshirt on cooler morningsas for boots light weight,or rubber boots depending on where you are hunting, arrows and broadheads should be for your bow go to a local arhery shop and they will help you get set up so you can shot straight and have a humane kill,if you are new to hunting with a bow please practice, try not to shoot more than the range you practice,20 yards is far enough for someone just learning to hunt with a bow

I use realtree camo. I have lightweight coveralls for when the temps are higher that can be worn over the top of insulated coveralls when it's colder. Since bow hunting requires freedom of movement, when it's very cold, I wear insulated vests. For a hat, I use a floppy round camo without a bill. I've tried numerous broadheads, and have settled on expanding broadheads. They fly just like a target arrow, but open up when you hit a deer, cutting a 2" three or four blade hole. I use hammerheads- and you can find them on-line. For foot wear, I wear HIGH rubber boots. Mine are a little large, so I can wear several thick pairs of socks if necessary, or even chemical handwarmers shoved into the boots. I've gotten 6 racked bucks using this equipment, and numerous does. One tip. You needn't spend big money. You can get a perfectly adequate bow used, for about $100. With arrows and arrow heads, you can get by with only about $250. I also recommend a mechanical release. Any bow shop has many, and trial and error will show you which feels best to you. One last tip. Hunt from up in a tree. You see better, and your scent tends to blow over deer, and you won't be spotted as easily. But USE a safety harness. Dying would ruin a hunting trip.

I would wear light clothes, depending on the weather.

Mike, nowdays, it's not so much about what you wear (all the prints out are great. Much better than the "army" camo of the old days) but what keeps you warm and how much it costs. If money isn't much of a problem, go to any outfitters, heck, even walmart, and get something QUIET. Check to see what the fabric sound like when rubbed together. There is nothing worse than having a monster buck walk in front of you and you draw you bow and you coat makes a noise and he spooks.......well, it's happened to me and it's not a great feeling. Boots are expensive but worth it. Get something warm. I live in MI as well and I'm sure you know how cold it get's up here. Also, you probably won't be moving so that makes it worse. I just got a great pair of gloves from walmart. They are mitten that break down so your fingers are exposed for you to make the shot and up when your waiting. The best part is they have magnets in them so they stay put and are quiet. Arrows should be chosen under advisement of someone at your local sporting goods store(helps if they are a bowhunter). Bring your bow with you so you can have him check it out. I use the rage 2 mechanical broadhead. They fly like feildtips and leave a HUGE hole for great blood trails. That about covers it. Unless you don't have a bow yet or just want a new one. I just bought the Bear Instinct. Best bow I've ever owned(as far as value). It shoots fast, it's small, and with a sts, it's next to silent. Good luck. Bow season starts TODAY!!!!!!!! Gotta go hunting

You can find some really great hunting apparel and supplies at www.beebusyoutdoors.com. They have some nice Ghillie suits and camo.
