I am going to Maggie Valley NC in early December, where can I see snow closeby?

I will be traveling on Dec 7th and returning to Florida Dec13th. My friends have never seen snow, and I would love to ski. Any suggestionis?

You may see snow in Maggie Valley. There is a ski resort there. There is just no way of telling when it will snow, however, it usually doesn't snow much before Christmas.If you want to go higher in the mountains, go to Mount Mitchell. It sometimes snows there when it doesn't at other places. Around the Grandfather Mountain/Linville area is a good place to see snow, but that is not real close to Maggie Valley. You will need to check the weather forecast for the area before you leave for the trip.You could drive into the Tennessee mountains, but still no guarantee that you will see snow.
